Foundations: Yoga for Pelvic Floor Health Workshop

  • Talo Yoga 437 Cambridge Ave Palo Alto, Ca 94306 (map)

Join for a 2-hour immersive workshop exploring the often-overlooked foundation of our physical well-being: the pelvic floor.

We’ll begin with an accessible discussion of pelvic floor anatomy, common (but not “normal”) issues that can arise from dysfunction, and how these concerns can affect the body as a whole. You’ll learn about key fascial lines connecting the pelvis to other parts of the body, the role of the breath in pelvic floor health, and how disconnection from our body can quietly develop over time. You’ll leave knowing you’re not alone — and that there are supportive, holistic tools to help you reconnect.

Following a Q&A, we’ll move into a gentle, alignment-focused yoga practice to help you move with awareness, stability, and ease. You’ll explore breath, posture, and mindful movement to create balance and strength in the pelvic floor. This session is open to all levels and is especially supportive for anyone seeking to prevent or address pelvic floor dysfunction in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space.

Shannon’s approach is rooted in deep respect for the body’s innate wisdom, weaving together her medical background, holistic wellness practices, and love for nature. Currently studying herbalism, she embraces the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit — empowering you to build a strong and harmonious foundation from the inside out.
